Approximate stash comparison
Precut fabric converter
See the approximate area in common quilting cuts. Use this to shortlist ideas—not to substitute fabric without checking the cutting diagram.
Why this is only an approximation
Fabric area cannot tell you whether a cutting plan works. Nine fat quarters and a little over two continuous yards may cover a similar area, but only the yardage can provide repeated full-width strips. Direction, selvages, shrinkage, pinked edges, and seam allowance also change the usable yield.
Best use: identify the right scale of project, then filter StashMuse by the cut you actually own.
